マルコス政権下のフィリピンで長年、革命的な地下活動家だったキンポ氏が過去から現在までのフィリピンの社会運動についてお話しします。
独裁時代には中央集権的だったフィリピン左派の性格が、1986年の有名なピープル・パワー革命による独裁制打倒以降、いかに運動が多極化しているかについて詳しく説明します。
写真スライドや音楽、ビデオクリップを用いたプレゼンテーションです。
Professor Nathan Quimpo a long time revolutionary underground activist in the Philippines during the Marcos dictatorship will give us a talk on Philippine Social Movements from past to present. The lecture will dwell on the nature of the then centralized Philippine Left and how it become pluralized in the present since the dictatorship was toppled by the famous People Power uprising in 1986. Picture slides, sound and film clips will be presented during the lecture.

ネイサン・キンポ（筑波大学教授、政治学・国際関係学）
マルコス政権下のフィリピンで長年、革命的な地下活動家だったキンポ氏が、フィリピンの社会運動の過去から現在について話します。
1992-93年、フィリピン共産党の政治論争時に同党から追放された後に学問の場へ戻り、蘭アムステルダム大学で国際関係学の修士号を取得。続いてオーストラリア国立大学で政治学と国際関係学の博士号を取得。フィリピンや東南アジアの政治に関する著書、共著多数。
a long time revolutionary underground activist in the Philippines during the Marcos dictatorship will give us a talk on Philippine Social Movements from past to present. Shortly after he was expelled by the Communist Party of the Philippines during the unpleasant debate in 1992-1993 he went back to the academe and earned is master's degree in international relations at the University of Amsterdam then got his doctorate in political science and international relations at the Australian National University. He is an author and co-editor of various books on Philippines and Southeast Asian politics.
