Julian Assange and Edward Snowden have performed an enormous service to all of those who believe in the right of citizens to know what their elected representatives are doing. For these reasons, they are considered to be dangerous criminals, pursued with fierce intensity by the rulers of the free and democratic societies. And for the same reasons, they should be honored by those people in the world who treasure the values of freedom and democracy.
